Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

Paasho is a free online marketplace that helps home-based and small businesses ("Sellers") create a store, list products or services, and connect with local buyers — without any commissions. By using Paasho, you agree to these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Seller Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to operate a business in India.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your store name, product listings, prices, photos, and availability. Misleading information is prohibited.
  • You must verify your WhatsApp number to activate order links. Your store URL (slug) can be changed before your first product is added; it is locked after that.
  • Paasho is a discovery and connection platform. All transactions (payment, delivery, fulfilment) happen directly between you and the buyer outside the platform. Paasho does not process payments on your behalf, hold funds, or guarantee buyer payments.
  • You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including tax obligations (GST, income tax) arising from your sales.
  • We may suspend or permanently delete accounts that violate these Terms, list prohibited items, engage in fraudulent activity, or negatively impact other users.

3. Buyers

  • Buyers do not need an account to browse stores or submit orders. No registration is required.
  • Paasho is a directory and connection service. Orders are placed via WhatsApp and fulfilled entirely by the Seller — not by Paasho.
  • All disputes over product quality, delivery timelines, refunds, or payments must be resolved directly with the Seller. Paasho is not a party to any transaction and cannot mediate or enforce resolutions.
  • Paasho is not liable for any loss, damage, or dissatisfaction arising from transactions between Sellers and Buyers.
  • By submitting a review, you confirm the review reflects your genuine experience and does not contain false, defamatory, or abusive content.

4. Pins (Virtual Currency)

  • Pins are non-monetary, non-transferable credits used exclusively to unlock features within Paasho (e.g., ranking boosts, analytics, AI image generation, verified badges).
  • Pins have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another account, or redeemed outside the platform.
  • Earned Pins are awarded for qualifying actions (daily login, adding products, sharing, receiving orders, referrals). Paasho reserves the right to modify which actions earn Pins, the Pins amounts, and daily/total limits at any time.
  • Purchased Pins are bought via Razorpay (packages: ₹49, ₹149, ₹349, ₹799). All Pin purchases are final and non-refundable once payment is confirmed, except where required by law.
  • Paasho reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Pins system at any time. In the event of discontinuation, we will provide reasonable advance notice to active Sellers.
  • Attempting to earn Pins through fraudulent means (fake accounts, bots, manipulated actions) will result in Pin forfeiture and account suspension.

5. Payments (Razorpay)

  • Pin purchases are processed by Razorpay, a licensed payment aggregator. By making a purchase, you also agree to Razorpay's terms of service.
  • Paasho does not store card numbers, bank details, or UPI credentials. All payment data is handled by Razorpay.
  • Pins are credited to your account automatically after payment confirmation, typically within a few seconds. If Pins are not credited within 10 minutes of a successful payment, contact us at [email protected] with your payment receipt.
  • Refunds for Pin purchases are not offered, except in cases of documented double-charging or where required by applicable law.

6. AI Features

  • Paasho offers AI-assisted tools: product description generation, store bio generation, and AI product photo enhancement (AI Studio).
  • AI-generated content is a starting point — you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring accuracy before publishing. Paasho does not guarantee the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of AI-generated output.
  • AI Studio (photo generation) costs Pins per use. Generated images are yours to use on your Paasho store. Paasho takes no ownership of generated images beyond displaying them on the platform.
  • Do not use AI features to generate content that is misleading, deceptive, or violates the Prohibited Content policy below.

7. Referral Programme

  • Sellers can share a referral link (paasho.com/join?ref=YOUR_CODE). Referral Pins are awarded when the referred seller adds 3 or more products and receives at least 1 order.
  • Referral Pins are subject to verification. Self-referrals or referrals made through fake or duplicate accounts will be disqualified and may result in suspension.
  • Paasho reserves the right to modify or discontinue the referral programme at any time.

8. Reviews

  • Reviews are submitted by buyers who sign in via Google. Each buyer may post one review per store.
  • Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. Fake, malicious, coordinated, or incentivised reviews are prohibited.
  • Sellers may reply publicly to reviews. Replies must be respectful and relevant.
  • Paasho may remove reviews or replies that violate these Terms or our content guidelines, without notice.
  • Sellers may not review their own store or solicit fake reviews from friends, family, or third parties.

9. WhatsApp Integration

  • Paasho uses the WhatsApp Business API to send verification codes and enable order WhatsApp links for sellers.
  • Our WhatsApp number also powers an AI-assisted customer support agent. Support messages are processed by an AI and short conversation history (last 6 messages) is held in cache for up to 6 hours, then automatically deleted.
  • By messaging our WhatsApp number, you consent to your message being processed to provide a response. Message history is not used for marketing or shared with third parties.

10. Intellectual Property

  • You retain full ownership of content you upload (photos, product descriptions, store information).
  • By uploading content, you grant Paasho a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform and in platform-related marketing (e.g., social media posts featuring Paasho stores), for as long as the content remains on the platform.
  • You represent that you own or have the right to use all content you upload, and that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • All Paasho brand assets, design, code, and platform features are the property of Paasho and may not be copied or used without written permission.

11. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not list, sell, or promote any of the following:

  • Alcohol, tobacco, narcotics, or controlled substances.
  • Weapons, ammunition, or explosive materials.
  • Adult, pornographic, or sexually explicit content.
  • Counterfeit, pirated, or stolen goods.
  • Items that infringe intellectual property rights.
  • Anything illegal under Indian law.
  • Services that involve harassment, deception, or exploitation.

You may not use the platform to spam other users, scrape data, run bots, abuse the Pins system, or interfere with platform operations.

12. Founding Seller Badge

The Founding Seller badge is awarded to the first 200 sellers who complete store setup on Paasho. The badge is permanent and will not be removed as long as your account remains active and in good standing. Paasho reserves the right to determine eligibility and resolve disputes about badge assignment.

13. Account Deletion

  • You may request deletion of your account from your dashboard settings at any time.
  • Upon requesting deletion, your store is immediately hidden from all buyers and your availability is set to off.
  • You have a 15-day grace period to cancel the deletion and restore your account to its previous state.
  • After 15 days, your account and all associated data (store, products, order history, Pin ledger) are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
  • Any unused Pins are forfeited upon account deletion and are not refundable.

14. Platform Modifications and Availability

  • Paasho is provided free of charge to Sellers. We reserve the right to change, limit, or discontinue any feature at any time.
  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, bugs, or service interruptions.
  • We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered Sellers. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

15. Limitation of Liability

Paasho is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paasho and its team are not liable for: indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; loss of profits, data, or business arising from use of or inability to use the platform; the conduct, products, or services of any Seller; or any transaction between a Seller and a Buyer.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. We encourage resolving disputes amicably by contacting us first at [email protected].
